Celebrating 50 years of service to the Florida A&M University bands, the Delta Iota chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity has set a standard
for leadership in which each member must strive to achieve. The
chapter has continually produced some of our greatest leaders in
the field of music such as, Bro. Warren Duncan director of bands
at Tuskegee University and past Southeast District Governor of Kappa Kappa Psi, Bro. Wycliffe Gordon, renowned musician, composer, conductor, arranger and 5 time Jazz Journalists Association Trombonist of the Year award winner, Bro. Don P. Roberts, Instrumental Music Coordinator for Dekalb County, GA schools and creator and director of Drumline Live theatrical stage show, Bro. Jorim Reid director
of bands at North Carolina Central University participants in the 2011 Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California, and Bro. Christopher Jordan assistant professor voice, diction, and voice area coordinator Alabama A&M University to name a few. Continuing our Leadership
within the Fraternity, the chapter is proud to have produced 7 district
officers as well as 2 District Governors. The chapter also has the distinction of being the first chapter at a Historically Black College or University to host a district convention and creators the Southeast District Song and Hymn.
